The area near Scarborough Town Centre has several condominium projects. Just in the past decade, at least a half dozen high rises have been completed just south of the 401 between Brimley Avenue & McCowan Avenue. 125 Omni Drive, part of the Forest Mansion complex, predates this. Completed in 2001, this 23 storey building houses just over 300 condo units.
125 Omni Drive is noted for its all inclusive maintenance fees which include all utilities, increasingly a rarity in the GTA these days. Additionally, Forest Mansion has spacious units, many with balconies, & some overlooking conservation lands just east of Brimley Avenue, between Borough Drive & Ellesemere Ave. Moreover, units are quite spacious, particularly compared to some of the newer Monarch built Brian Harrison buildings closer to the Town Centre mall, & even compared to Tridel’s own 83 Borough Dr. This is a big attraction to buyers, as are prices, which are lower on a per sq ft basis than the newer buildings. The excellent resort like amenities, which include an indoor swimming pool, comprehensive gym, library, recreation centre, billiard room etc. are further appealing features.
Built by master condo builder Tridel, known for intelligent design, use of space, & excellent construction, 125 Omni Dr has already stood the test of time, as it is 13 years old, but still looks as good as it did the day it was built.
125 Omni Drive is on my list of recommended condominiums in Scarborough. It offers very good value for money & is centrally located in an area close to TTC subway, highway 401 & superb shops & restaurants. If you see a Scarborough MLS listing of one of these units I recommend visiting the building. You can read more about this excellent building here.
